Personal | August | Nicholas

The sweetest little boy in the world turned two this month so of course it was my goal to capture all of the amazing pictures I had in my mind, but Nick didn’t care too much about my “vision”! We were on vacation last week and my little man is an early riser, I’m talking like 5:30AM (I am NOT a morning person!) so one morning I decided to take him to the beach for a sunrise portrait session. By the time we got out there it was already 8AM and the sun was too bright, his brother, cousin and Nana & Boppa tagged along too so he wasn’t about to take direction from me, just chasing and trying to get him to look at the camera. It wasn’t quite what I had in mind but I loved every second of it. These two below were the only keepers of just Nicholas.2014-08-31_0001The thing with having two kids is how can I not take pictures of them together when they are being so cute and sweet!? There is nothing I love more than imagining the friendship between these two and I’m already seeing it so just thinking of their journey together is something that always makes my heart happy! I know they will fight and wrestle and drive me crazy but I hope that will all be worth it and they will be best friends for life. They are perfect opposites, my sweet & my spicy and it makes loving them equally so easy!2014-08-31_00032014-08-31_0007We also tried to have a family portrait taken by my brother, but my 4 year old decided it was complete torture! It was mostly just my husband and I playing with our baby boy, so kind of  worked out pretty good for this months blog post!2014-08-31_0006Now on to the star of the show, my own personal sunshine, the silliest boy in the world, NickyGoodBoy (if you follow me on Instagram you know my hashtag already!). I couldn’t do a post about him without getting all the faces that I love so much so we took 5 minutes today for a couple more images and I’m so happy he cooperated. His mad face is an adorable little pout and his “smile” is a scrunched up “cheeeeseee” that melts my heart! He’s been smiling like this since he was about 6 months old and will do it anytime anyone asks (try it next time you see him!). He is amazing. I’m pretty sure there is music playing in his head because he dances for no reason, smiles at nothing and thinks he’s the most entertaining guy in the world (and I have to agree!).2014-08-31_00052014-08-31_0004Last month during the busiest time of my career yet, Nick gave us a little scare. His eyes crossed over night, doctors thought the worst and sent us for an MRI the next week. Luckily his brain is perfect but just needs eye surgery which sounds pretty good to me after the “worst case scenarios” playing in my head! When we got home from his MRI he relaxed for about 15 minutes and then was back to his wild ways. I took this video that afternoon and it pretty much sums up his entire personality. I couldn’t love Nicholas any more than I do! He’s perfection! (So is Jason obviously!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8HpvqhzxJw&feature=youtu.be
